Pink Dog and Meerkat and SHEBANG: "We Are All Animals" launches in January

Inspired, inspiring, varied visions in varied media: artists - Sandi McAslan, Tate Hamer, Reiko Miyagi, Heather Divoky, Emelie Weber Wade, Julieta Fumberg, Daniel McClendon - and others joining too, all creating “We Are All Animals,” curated by the powerhouse behind Meerkat Press, Tricia Reeks, at Pink Dog.

The exhibit opens with the SHEBANG launch, where I’ll be doing a performative reading, and we’ll be making cardboard masks, meeting the artists, marveling at the breadth of work on display, and buying books - five dollars from every sale will be donated to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville.

And all of it celebrates the animals, the ones we share the world with, the ones we are, in community with each other. I’m incredibly happy to see this event come together, and I hope I’ll see you there too.
